Today the children embraced the challenge of carrying buckets of water during their daily mile in order to raise money for our sponsor child in Ethiopia as well as to raise awareness of the realities of everyday life in countries without access to clean, running water. Well done children- you did an amazing job and we raised £41.50 in our class.
Today the children made crowns and worked together to create a beautiful commemorative collage art piece to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee. Look at their faces beaming with pride!
Primary 2 and 3 had great fun today sharing their picnic goodies with their friends and Mr Henderson’s class.
We had so much fun in class today talking about and describing our favourite book characters. Thank you for making so much effort to dress up and to bring in your favourite books to read together. I am so proud of the Primary 3 girls and boys who had the confidence to read their books to the rest of their class- what a marvellous achievement. I wonder if we will have any budding authors or illustrators of the future in our class? All things are possible with hard work and determination.
What a fantastic effort that was made by our children, staff and parents today for World Book Day. The children were allowed to wear pyjamas or a book character costume and the effort put in was amazing.
Well done to each of you. 😁
Today we have been ordering numbers to 50 in class. This involved some cutting and sticking activities.
We discussed different ways of ordering each other. We had so much fun sorting ourselves in order of height and then by age from the youngest member of the class to the eldest. This was quite confusing as we have 2 year groups within our class so it required lots of problem solving! In the afternoon we explored measure using standard and non standard units to measure objects around our classroom. I hope you enjoy our photos.
The boys and girls in P2/3 have been learning all about Robert Burns today. They learned about his famous poems and songs. They also had a go at learning some Ulster Scots words! Thank you to our Highland dancers- your amazing dancing was the icing on the cake of our super celebration day!
Sit back and enjoy our Christmas nativity, we hope you’ll enjoy it
We had great fun doing activities in our odd socks today. We hope you like all our sock colours and designs.
