We have put together a video showing you all the fun Christmas activities they have been getting up to this past month. We hope you all enjoy.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🥳
The children were so excited to get their Christmas dinner in school today. Year 1/2 spent the morning listening to Christmas music and making party hats to wear to dinner.
It is always so exciting going to the canteen and sitting at the big yellow tables to eat lunch. The children enjoyed a lovely turkey dinner and a choc ice after. It was delicious!!
We wish it could be Christmas dinner everyday!
At break time, the children all embarked on a scavenger hunt! They were on the hunt for chocolate gold coins.
All 27 children did an amazing job and were able to find themselves a tasty coin - Anne and Miss Moore on the other hand are still looking!!
Today, Mrs Harper set the children a challenge! Design a new Artigarvan P.S. Christmas jumper ☃️🎄
All the children in Y1/2 worked really hard designing their jumper and Mrs Harper found it soo difficult picking a winner. ⭐️
A big congratulations to our winners:
1st - Isla
2nd - Eve
Joint 3rd - Cassie and Mitchell
Well done to everyone, you all did an amazing job! 👏🏻
Congratulations to Mason, our Star of the Week and Leo our Reader of the Week.
Just look at our fabulous penguins! Didn't they turn out brrrr-illiant?! 🐧
We are all wrapped up at ready for Winter in Y1/2 ❄
The children have been feeling very inspired with our topic 'In the Toybox' 🧸
During play, children have been using their imagination and creativity to build their own toys using junk materials. 📦
The children are so inventive that sometimes Miss Moore thinks she's in Santa's workshop and not the classroom! 🎅
A big shout out to a wonderful girl in Y1 who designed not only a toy for herself, but also for her friend 💕 Thank you for being a bucket filler! 💫
As we draw closer to the end of what has been a particularly difficult year for all, Y1/2 would like to share a special song with you all. Hopefully you all enjoy it as much as we do ❤️
We sing this song in class to remind us that although sometimes things can be a little difficult, there is no need to worry because “every little thing, is going to be all right.” 🐥
Y1/2 were so happy to welcome Constable Lorraine to school today. She came in to talk to us about bullying and what we can do to stop it.
Our class know that bullying is bucket dipping and that’s not a nice thing to do. The children all know that if it ever happens to them, or if they ever see it happening to someone else, they must tell an adult.
The children asked fantastic questions and gave wonderful answers, Constable Lorraine was so impressed. ⭐️
Thank you very much to our local PSNI community team for your special visit.
Well done to Eve, Y1/2 Star of the Week and Matthew, our Reader of the Week.
