How lucky are we to have such a kind-hearted little girl in our class.  Alex made her own key rings and sold them in school last week.  She made a total of £30 and decided to buy some treats for our class.  Thank you!

This week we have been participating in lots of fun activities to celebrate one of the most exciting days in the school calendar - World Book Day!

Today we came dressed as a book character (or in our pyjamas) and took part in The Great Artigarvan Book Off! Children had to design a cake based on their favourite book.   Winners will be announced tomorrow.

Check out our photos!

The children took part in a live online art lesson inspired by Julia Donaldson’s iconic book, The Snail and the Whale. The children followed instructions and learned drawing techniques from an artist and created their very own masterpieces. Their work is currently on display in the assembly hall. What a talented class you are!

Brand new workshop alert!

Strive NI have created "Worry, Anger and Everything In-Between" as a workshop for parents who want to better understand and support their child’s big emotions.

They’ll explore why anxiety and anger can often show up together, what’s happening in a child’s brain during emotional overwhelm, and how to respond in ways that help children feel safe, understood and supported. You’ll leave with practical strategies you can use straight away to support worry and other big emotions at home.

As always a recording option is available if you can't attend live at the time:

Year 6 and 7 pupils had a brilliant day on Friday at an Ulster Hockey tournament in Foyle College. The pupils played some lovely hockey and made it to the semi-finals in both the boys and girls competition; but unfortunately just missed out on progressing to the finals in Stormont. Everyone had great fun and thankfully the weather stayed dry for most of the morning!
