Thank you to Róisín from Young Enterprise who came to visit our school today. This morning she talked to Mr Campbells class about what a community is and how a community is made up. This afternoon she talked to the Year 5/6/7 pupils. They looked at importing and exporting goods, how different items of their uniform were imported from different countries and how they got to Artigarvan. They finished with a game about trading.
We had a very busy week this week in our class but still managed to squeeze in some fun maths activities to celebrate Maths week Ireland. We learnt lots of information out about Mrs McClelland when she gave us a range of different sums to work out which gave us answers about different parts of her life. We then got to do the same. We made ‘Figure me out’ posters for our classmates to work out. Can you spot anyone from their posters?
On Friday we went around our school on a maths trail. We had to answer a range of different questions which involved looking at number plates outside, looking at vent diagrams and asking other members of staff for information. We then got letters which spelt out ARTIGARVAN ROCKS! The boys and girls had great fun!
Well done to all the stars of the week.
One more week until half term.

All the boys and girls had so much fun at the farm today. A massive thank you to Annie and Vinnie for a great, educational and enjoyable day.
Butterlope Farm is mainly a hill sheep farm with a variety of breeds but they also have calves, laying hens and sheep dogs. A kitchen garden and large polytunnel allows a large variety of vegetables to be grown for the family and farm helpers. The boys and girls enjoyed eating some of the grapes!
