P2/3 arrived to school as normal this morning. They entered their classroom only to discover a HUGE surprise!!!
An ENORMOUS penguin !!
The day before the children had put a tiny penguin in water expecting it to expand and grow bigger over 3 days....but no one expected him to grow this big!!

We recently had a special awards assembly to recognise our talented highland dancers. Dance tutor Georgina proudly handed out certificates to all pupils who took part in the exams.
Lots of fun was had by the whole school as we all came together to celebrate Burns night!
We were treated to highland dancing, haggis and traditional Scottish poems. Even famous poet Robbie Burns made a special appearance.
Year 4 and 5 are learning about animals and species which are endangered or extinct.
Our work in school inspires and supports young people to build their knowledge and understanding, develop their skills, and explore their values so they're motivated and equipped to enjoy and care for our beautiful planet.
We are studying how Animals and habitats are under threat:

*Rivers and Lakes

*Safeguarding wildlife

We had a special visitor in our class today. We made some fans and bracelets...all from recycled materials.
We had lots of fun during our topic Splish Splash Splosh. We enjoyed making bubble pictures and building lego boats and lots of other activities. Have a look at our pictures.
We went on a road safety walk in the local area with Pamela. Pamela helped us to cross the road safely and taught us the safest places to cross the road.
Have a look at some of our Christmas Art + Craft activities! We used our digital camera along with other art media to Elf ourslevs. We even 'elfed' our teacher. We had such fun!!
