In Year 3 and 4 we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We have observed our caterpillars changing and have created video blogs each day to create a diary of the different stages of their development. Check out our video blogs, it won't be long until the butterflies emerge from their chrysalides!
Year 2 and 3 have been enjoying our sunny weather. We get outside as much as possible and love to play together - sharing, laughing, helping and having fun!!
To tie in with our new topic we've been busy growing cress seeds in class. Have a look at our video diary where the boys and girls are documenting their findings.
We are also learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. So stay tuned to follow their progress!
To coincide with our topic 'Floodtide of the Heart', the Year 4/5 class took a trip to Baronscourt Estate where they got to explore their creative side with a series of workshops. These included creative Art, writing, drumming and dance. The children had a wonderful day.
We would like to express a huge thank you to all the parents and children who put in a lot of effort to ask friends and family to guess the name of the lamb. We had a winner who guessed the name Willie correctly. This was Aaron Parke, Jasmine's daddy.
The parents managed to raise a massive £370 that will be used to buy nursery furniture. We would like to say a special thank you to Liz our caretaker who very kindly donated the hamper.
Well done to Aaron and the nursery staff wish you all a happy Easter.
The children have been very busy this week making and decorating their eggs for the annual Easter competition.
Once again the children did an amazing job and their creations were fantastic.

The Year 2/3 class had a visit to a local building site this week.
Our topic is Home Sweet Home and the visit helped the children understand the process of building a house.
The children also posted letters from the post office that they wrote.
Two teams of children from our 6/7 class took part in a recent cricket tournament in Artigarvan Hall.
Both our teams were runners-up! Well done boys and girls.

Mrs Kane's class chose the Chinese new year as their recent assembly.
The whole school enjoyed learning about the Chinese culture and traditions.
