Well done to everyone who entered our Easter competition. As always, the standard of the items made were outstanding. Mrs Craig and Liz had a very tough job judging the work. Everyone enjoyed visiting the hall to look at everyone's creations.
Congratulations to all our egg hunt winners. Everyone had great fun searching for the eggs, all well hidden by our enterprise helpers! There was a little treat inside each egg for every child and one egg contained the winning golden Jewel for a prize!
Winners were as follows:
Nursery - Nathan
P1/2 - Sophie N
P2/3 - Ross
P3/4 - Destiny
P4/5 - Sarah
P6/7 - Lauren
Year 5/6 have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of Easter activities this week. They ranged from Easter egg hunts to creating our Easter egg competition masterpieces.
Last week the nursery children were very lucky. The Enterprise Team work very hard throughout the year and use their money to resource the different classes. Last week the girls presented a range of different wooden toys to the Nursery children and we are very thankful. We will get lots of fun building the different vehicles.
Thank You
We had a visit today from Mr Jim McCool who performed his interactive Celtic Yarn-Spinning show.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
This week we were playing instruments keeping a steady beat, playing fast, slow, loud and soft. We had to follow instructions too, we tried head, shoulders, knees and toes- some children found it hard to do the actions to this song when the music played faster. We had great fun today!
Year6/7 made beautiful pop-up flower cards and photograph frames to give to their mums on Mother's day.
Last week our school participated in the Feet First Families Week. Each day a specific class were given the option if they wanted to walk/cycle to school from the local Presbyterian Church. On Friday it was the Nursery boy's and girl's turn and we had a fantastic turn out. During our Nursery day, we were able to go out to the playground and show off our skills on our bikes and scooters. Well done to everyone who participated last week.
