On Thursday of this week, Jack's Mummy Selena, brought in lots of different animals for us to learn about. She told us about what kind of animals they were, what they like to eat, and the brave children even got to touch or hold the animal. We are very thankful for Selena taking the time to bring all these animals in for us as it is a great learning experience for our children. Have a look through and see what animal would be your favourite.
We all had great fun on Wednesday in our wonderful Christmas jumpers. We had a competition where we had to design our own Christmas jumpers then we had fun with photo props and got some lovely Christmas photos. We then danced the afternoon away during our Christmas disco. We hope you like all our photos!
Our choir treated us to a few songs in our last assembly before end of term. They have been singing their little hearts out and spreading the Christmas cheer. They have been out and about as well, visiting Melmount Manor, Mums & Tots and the Tuesday Club. Well done, we are extremely proud. 😇😊
Well done to all our wonderful designers, Liz had an extremely difficult job judging.
Year 7 girls were involved with a project "Little Girls with Big Goals" in which they took part in two workshops. They learned all about 'Great Woman who had changed the World' and were inspired to be involved with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) by Nicky and Nicola from Allstate. Now the girls have a new mantra- Set your goals and don't stop until you get there!
Today all of P6 and P7 came together to do some work with Izak 9. We all worked in groups and solved problems based on multiples and prime numbers. Some questions were tricky but we all helped each other. Mrs Doherty even taught Mrs McClelland a thing or two!
We have been so busy in P5/6 which is why we have been so quiet updating all our lovely parents with our news. A couple of weeks ago we had an animation workshop delivered by the nerve centre. We learnt all about how movies are made and then we made our own movie using a green screen based on Disney’s movie ‘Small Foot’. It was all very exciting and we all had lots of fun.
