The Year 3 boys and girls in Mrs Pollock and Miss Hicks class made these beautiful melted snowmen.
The children have been feeling very inspired with our topic 'In the Toybox' 🧸
During play, children have been using their imagination and creativity to build their own toys using junk materials. 📦
The children are so inventive that sometimes Miss Moore thinks she's in Santa's workshop and not the classroom! 🎅
A big shout out to a wonderful girl in Y1 who designed not only a toy for herself, but also for her friend 💕 Thank you for being a bucket filler! 💫
This morning Annabel and Russell were the first two names in our class Advent Calendar, we hope you enjoy your treats.
A special postbox arrived in our classroom this week and this morning we made cards and posted them to our friends.
Have a look at our beautiful Christmas wreaths made with glitter, finger prints, jewels, sequins and stickers. There is lots of sparkle in Year 2/3.
On Friday we had a very special visitor called Lorraine who is a member of the PSNI. Constable Lorraine came into Nursery to talk to us about lots of very important things. She talked to us about how to cross the road safely and to remember the 3 very important words: Stop, Look and Listen. She also talked to us about staying safe on our bicycles and helmets and how to do this: always wear a helmet and check your brakes!!
Finally Lorraine told us what to do if we get lost in a big shop or supermarket and that we need to always look out for someone who works there and is wearing a uniform.
Lorraine we thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to come and see all the boys and girls at our Nursery.
Christmas magic seems to have turned Y6/7 pupils into complaining Christmas characters! Oh dear! Oh dear!
Well done to all our children who have been the Star of the week so far.
Last week we all wore our odd socks to school to support Anti-Bullying Week. We talked about how it is ok to be different and how each person is different in lots of different ways. We talked about how it doesn't matter if we don't like the same things and it is ok to like things different things to our friends. :)
Today we had our Big Bedtime Read that is linked to the Getting Ready to Learn Programme that we are involved in every year. The children arrived to Nursery in their pyjamas along with Mrs Preston and Yvonne. Today we had a special day as we had a break all together today and we pretended it was our supper. After our 'supper' we went into Storyland and had a magical time together. Mrs Preston read us a lovely story called Mouse's Christmas and we were all fantastic at listening and answering all her questions. Well done to all the boys & girls and I know you all had a very special day. I hope you enjoy your 1st story book pack when you get it on Monday.
As we draw closer to the end of what has been a particularly difficult year for all, Y1/2 would like to share a special song with you all. Hopefully you all enjoy it as much as we do ❤️
We sing this song in class to remind us that although sometimes things can be a little difficult, there is no need to worry because “every little thing, is going to be all right.” 🐥
Y1/2 were so happy to welcome Constable Lorraine to school today. She came in to talk to us about bullying and what we can do to stop it.
Our class know that bullying is bucket dipping and that’s not a nice thing to do. The children all know that if it ever happens to them, or if they ever see it happening to someone else, they must tell an adult.
The children asked fantastic questions and gave wonderful answers, Constable Lorraine was so impressed. ⭐️
Thank you very much to our local PSNI community team for your special visit.
