Today Year 6/7 had their last session with Ciara from the Medics in Primary Schools Programme. Ciara is a medical student at Queen’s University and has been delivering lessons to our P6/7 class once a week for the past few months. Ciara delivered some lessons online and some face to face. The children were taught all about the body including the eyes and the heart. We would like to thank Ciara for planning and carrying out the lessons over the past few months and wish her well in the next part of her studies at university. P6/7 have really enjoyed taking part in these lessons.
Geraldine from British Red Cross visited our school to deliver some first aid training to our P6s and P7s. This was a great opportunity to explore what first aid means and cover some lifesaving skills including recovery position, CPR and how to use a AED. Pupils had an opportunity to ask any questions. Thank you Geraldine for visiting our school 🩹 ⛑

Children in Years 5, 6 and 7 who have reached their accelerated reading target this term were treated to a trip to the shop! They had a great time spending their money and eating their purchases. All children will have a new target in the new year so keep reading everyone and you could be having a trip to the shop next term 📚
There was lots of excitement in school and nursery this morning when a special visitor arrived for a visit. Thank you Santa for visiting our school.
This term Mr Campbell’s class have been reading George’s Marvellous Medicine. We have enjoyed reading this book to see what happened with each medicine. Today it was Mr Campbell's turn to make his medicine. The children had to guess the ingredients in each of his concoctions. Judging by the faces of everyone I think they went down a treat.
Well done to all the boys and girls whio have met their target in Accelerated Reading this term! Enjoy your treats!

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold this morning to attend our coffee and carols morning. I think you will all agree our choir and Mrs Preston were amazing and everyone was feeling festive as they enjoyed the songs. Thank you to all our visitors for their very kind donations-it is all very much appreciated.
