Well done and a big thank you to everyone for making such a wonderful effort with your costumes and characters today! We loved discussing our favourite stories and sharing our books with our friends.
Everyone had a great time dressing up as their favourite book character or coming to school in their pj’s today.

We had a super day today for World Book Day. All of the boys and girls and staff made a fantastic effort with their costumes. We had lots of wonderful characters from famous books. We also watched and listened to the story called “where’s Spot?” This story included Makaton signs and was read by one of the ladies from Singing Hands on YouTube.
We really enjoyed this and afterwards Mrs Preston read us one of her favourite stories, ‘The Hungry Caterpillar.’
we had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day today!!! 📚📚📚
As it is World Book Day tomorrow we have had different book related activities happening in school this week. Today we mixed up all our classes and the older pupils read books to our younger pupils. This was such a lovely little time for pupils of all ages in our school.
We are so impressed with our Year 6 and Year 7 pupils as they created beautiful bird boxes today with Damien and David from F.R.O.G outdoor educators. Each child will get to take home the bird box that they made and we also have a few to put up around school. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
Our student council memebrs had a short meeting with Mr Campbell at the start of this term, we talked about how we could improve our lives at school and talked about different treats that we could have every Friday.
This week we have had a brilliant treat of hot chocolate and scones. They were so GOOD.
We want to thank Cherry and Samantha for these lovely treats.
Each week Mrs Harper will choose a pupil who has shown kindness throughout the week at school to receive her special kindess award. We have so many kind pupils in Artigarvan Primary School Mrs Harper may need to have lots of certificates!! This week the award goes to Mya and Calvin. Well done and keep being kind...it doesn't go unnoticed.
Well done to our sporting superstars outside of school:
Olivia received player of the week with Sion Swifts Football Club for her outstanding efforts at football.
The girls who attend Euphoria Allstar Cheerleading attended a competition in Antrim and brought home lots of medals and trophies.
We are so proud of all our children at Artigarvan Primary School and like to share their successes outside of school as well as in school. Keep up the hard work everyone!
