Artigarvan Primary School and Community Nursery rocked their odd socks for World Down Syndrome Day 2023. The date for World Down Syndrome Day is the 21st day of the third month to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. This year the theme of World Down Syndrome Day is ‘With us not for us’. Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for Foyle Down Syndrome Trust and thank you to everyone for wearing their odd socks as we raise awareness of Down Syndrome.

Parentline NI have asked us to share this workshop ‘Parenting Patterns and Pitfalls’. This will focus on understanding parenting styles and why it matters. This free workshop is taking place on Tuesday 21st March 2023 @ 7.45pm-9pm, via zoom.

Zara received a lovely surprise when Mr Hampton from Strabane Academy called to our school with a £50 voucher prize. Zara received this prize by completing the quiz at Strabane Academy Open Evening. Well done and enjoy spending your voucher Zara!

Ariana received Player of the Week for Sion Swifts under 10 girls. Ariana also received a medal from her football tournamnet in Irvinestown at the weekend. Well done Ariana!
Olivia also travelled to Irvinestown with Sion Swifts for her football tournament at the weekend. A huge well done to Olivia who also received a medal.
We are so proud of all our children at Artigarvan Primary School and like to share their successes outside of school as well as in school. Keep up the hard work everyone!
Each week Mrs Harper will choose a pupil who has shown kindness throughout the week at school to receive her special kindess award. We have so many kind pupils in Artigarvan Primary School! This week the award goes to Amelia and Alesha. Well done and keep being kind...it doesn't go unnoticed.
