Ronan McKee from the Pushkin Programme came into our school on 14/11/17 to deliver a drumming workshop to the Year 6/7. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and taking part.
Ronan from Sustrans was back in school on Tuesday 14th November.
On this occasion Ronan put the children through a series of tasks.
These tested the children's skills on balance, control and agility.

On Tuesday 7th November the year 6/7 class spent the afternoon having an Izak 9 challenge.
Izak 9 creates a fun, dynamic and highly interactive shared learning environment where all children can excel in their learning of mathematics in Schools. Team work and learning from each other is also a big part of this.

The children were treated to a spook-tacular display from the highland dancers in this morning's assembly.
All the children in Y5/6 looked great in their costumes!
We had fun in class decorating pumpkins and we even had a special visitor during Golden Time.

Our Year 6 and 7 class got creative today carving out pumpkins! Have a look at their wonderful creations.

Well done to the Y5 children who completed their road safety training programme this week. The final session of the programme was a walk around the village, demonstrating what they had been learning about hazards, following road signs and using the Green Cross Code.
Our road safety assessor, Gareth, was impressed with all the children and they received a certificate and flashing reflector for their efforts.

Our class have been busy making ornaments out of clay and wood. They enjoy using the electric saw and sculpting the clay.
Please be advised that Artigarvan PS & Community Nursery will be closed on Monday 16th October, as advised by the Department of Education, due to the expected storm.
Congratulations to Joanne H, who had a baby girl on Wednesday 11th October.
