The children have been very busy this week making and decorating their eggs for the annual Easter competition.
Once again the children did an amazing job and their creations were fantastic.

The Year 2/3 class had a visit to a local building site this week.
Our topic is Home Sweet Home and the visit helped the children understand the process of building a house.
The children also posted letters from the post office that they wrote.
Two teams of children from our 6/7 class took part in a recent cricket tournament in Artigarvan Hall.
Both our teams were runners-up! Well done boys and girls.
Another pupil receiving an award for completing our reading challenge.

Mrs Kane's class chose the Chinese new year as their recent assembly.
The whole school enjoyed learning about the Chinese culture and traditions.
Our Year 4 pupils recently took part in a 6 week Guided Reading programme.
Here they are with their certificates which they achieved after completing the task.

Year 6/7 are taking part in a computer coding programme here at school.
The children are learning how to create and make their own games using the scratch 2 programme.
Liz worked her magic again and held a successful coffee morning.
Helped by a team of children she cooked up tasty pancakes and bacon for all.
Thanks to everyone who came and helped raise funds for school.
Our annual book character day was another great success!
Both children and staff dressed for the occasion, and great fun was had by everyone.
