Autism Social Café
We are inviting parents and carers of children of all ages, who have:
- an autism diagnosis
- are awaiting an assessment
- are displaying early indicators ( suggesting their child may be Neurodiverse),
to attend our next Autism Social Café with local support groups, information stalls and short informal talks/workshops.
Date: Friday 24th Feb 2023
Time: 10am- 12noon approx.
Venue: Melvin Sports Complex, Melvin Rd, Strabane BT82 9PP
This event is in partnership with statutory services and community and voluntary organisations who can support families on their autism journey.
Our aim is to bring together parents, carers and organisations, to provide support and information on services available. We are hoping that parents and carers will help us shape our plans for future events across the WHSCT, provide feedback, ideas and suggestions. Input from parents and carers will be extremely valuable in the co-design of our future Social Café’s.
Tea & Coffee provided.
Booking is welcome but not essential.

Today family and friends of Lucy and Calum along with Brighter Ballymagorry Development Group visitied nursery to present a cheque for £1900. The money is to be used for the enhancement of Calum and Lucy's education at Artigarvan Primary School and Community Nursery. The money was raised through a charity walk on New Year's Day. We are so grateful to Brighter Ballymagorry Development Group for organising the walk and raising this amazing amount of money. Thank you so much.
We were delighted to present £600 to Action Mental Health with thanks to our parents and families who made donations instead of staff presents this Christmas. Action Mental Health has worked closely with our school over the past two years. Pupils, parents and staff have all benefitted from workshops and activities provided free of charge. Thank you so much to our families for their support - it is very much appreciated.
Action Mental Health would like us to share this free online session with our parents and carers.
Year 5’s enjoyed a walk around their local Village this morning. We revised our Green Cross Code before leaving school and looked out for hazards during our walk. We found safe places to cross the road and identified permanent and temporary hazards.
Well done to six of our girls who attend Euphoria Allstars Cheerleading. At the weekend they travelled to Lisburn to take part in the DC12 Cheerleading Competition. They were delighted to come first place in their category!
