It is so great to see everyone in P1/2. On your child's first day they made a first day poster. They painted their hands and created hand prints. Then they wrote their name in the middle. I am finally getting round to uploading all the lovely photos!
Everyone has settled in extremely well in P1 and it is great that we are all now in a full day until 2pm.
Please read at the attached leaflet from Department of Education about healthy lunches.
Today the children embraced the challenge of carrying buckets of water during their daily mile in order to raise money for our sponsor child in Ethiopia as well as to raise awareness of the realities of everyday life in countries without access to clean, running water. Well done children- you did an amazing job and we raised £41.50 in our class.

What an exciting day in our school!!
Last week Lakeland Dairies contacted our school to see if we would like to take part in a colouring/poster competition. The competition is all part of recycling week in which Lakeland Dairies is taking part.
The children in P1 - P7 got very busy especially when they heard about the fantastic prizes Lakeland Dairies had to offer 😊
P1 and P2 had to colour in a recycling picture, P3 and P4 had a different recycling picture to colour and P5,6 &7 had to design their own recycling poster.
A huge congratulations to our three winners:
Myla P2
Eva P4
James P7
who each won an Amazon tablet.
All the children in school and nursery received a packet of colouring pencils and a pen from Lakeland Dairies.
We would like to thank Lakeland Dairies so much for involving our school in their recycle week. During our assembly today we realised how many children in our school have connections with the creamery so it is lovely to be involved in this together.
A special thanks to Deirdre Kellegher-Site Manager, Stephen Gourley-Environmental Manager, Dessie Donnell-Process Operator and Ellie Kee-Environmental student for coming to school today to present the prizes.
This Friday 23rd September we are going to carry buckets of water as we complete our Daily Mile and raise some money for our sponsor child Olbirat. Next week we will hold a special Stand by Me assembly in school and pass any money raised onto Olbirat.
