Today Gareth from Cancer Fund for Children called to our school to collect the money that we raised at Christmas. The staff at Artigarvan Primary School and Community Nursery decided they would support this charity instead of the children bringing in Christmas presents for staff. We are so grateful to everyone for their generous donations and today we were able to present Gareth with a cheque for £707. Gareth also asked that we pass on a huge thank you to our parents and families on behalf of Cancer Fund for Children ❤️ Our P7 pupils along with Mrs Harper joined Gareth on the playground to present the cheque and get a photograph.

Today during outdoor play some boys and girls were trying very hard to practise their balancing skills. You can see they are using their arms to help them to balance and try not to wobble off the walking beams.  Well done boys and girls!

This week we have been encouraging the children to practise zipping up their own coats.  Some children have been very determined and have been practising lots at home.  Well done to these boys and girls and they were very proud when they received a certificate in assembly this morning.  Keep trying hard everyone! 👍
