This week we have enjoyed learning about the properties of 2D shapes. We made our own cartoon faces by drawing as many different shapes as we could think of. Check them out!

A few years ago we applied for funding from The Donnelly Group Foundation to enhance our equipment for outdoors. We were nominated to receive the funding at that time but due to Covid19 we were unable to use the funding until this year.
We decided to buy a permanent climbing wall and tunnel that will be available for the children to use every day. This was purchased from Creative Activity in Londonderry and we used the funding to pay for this alongside some nursery funds.
We are absolutely delighted with the product and we know it will enhance the children's physical development and also increase their confidence in climbing on aparatus.
A big thank you to The Donnelly Group Foundation for their funding and also to Gavin at Creative Activity for helping us with our order.
We will enjoy lots of climbing and crawling through the tunnel.
Today we were very excited as we got new road markings and car parking spaces in our playground. Yesterday Jason from Allplay came and did a fantastic job of laying our new playground markings. This will help us remember where to ride our bikes and trikes and teach us how to cross the road safely at the zebra crossing.
Thank you Jason for a super job!! The funding for this has come from the build up on nursery funds that our parents contribute to each month, so thank you to you also.
I'm sure the kids will have lots of fun with this over the year!

We had so much fun on our Autumn walk. As we walked along the footpath we noticed the blackberries at the tops of the hedgerows. Some children thought they were for the giraffes but we eventually came around to the idea of leaving them for the birds. The blackberries were ripe and ready for us to pick as we walked further, we even heard the river flowing beside us. After a steep climb up a hill we spied conkers on the chestnut tree! A few had fallen down so we were able to investigate them.
What a busy morning we had, our wellies came in very handy and the children were glad to have their milk and snack on our return!
Perhaps you could continue the search for signs of Autumn at the weekend, after all, your children are now experts in berry picking and conker spotting!
🌟Well done to our Stars of the Week🌟
