Children in Years 5 - 7 are really enjoying Accelerated Reading and there have been lots of tickets in the pot each week!! The boys and girls eagerly wait each week to find out who wins the bar of chocolate. Today was extra special as we celebrated all the children who had reached their AR target. A special mention goes to Mason and Chloe who reached their target twice!!! Well done everyone and keep reading 📚
All the boys and girls in our school will be familiar with Colin Tinsley who has been hosting daily videos on his YouTube channel as well as an online Sunday school. Colin very kindly delivered a package to our school and when we opened it we found some beautiful colouring in books called “The Christmas Story”. We would like to thank Colin and everyone at Hope for Youth Ministries for giving every child in our school a colouring in book. 🖍 📖

The boys and girls in Year 5, 6 and 7 designed Christmas pictures that could be used as the front of our school Christmas card this year. Well done to Adam C in year 7 who had the winning design. 🎄 🎅🏼
Our class ‘What’s on Your Plate?’ topic would not have been complete without making some edible reindeer heads. Even more fun was eating them!

We had lots of fun completing the Northern Ireland Daily Mile Santa Run with all our Christmas accessories and jingle bells 🎅🏼
We have been learning how to calculate change in numeracy and today we played a fun version of the popular game monopoly. We worked in groups of 4 and the first person to reach 50 points won. Check out our winners! We have a very competitive bunch in year 5/6 😋
