Today we celebrated all our achievements over the past 8 weeks. Our parents and grown ups came to watch all three dances. We had the fabulous Amber from Flipstarz, who taught us modern dancing. We had Mr McCrystall who taught us Irish dancing and Becky who taught us our Highland Dancing. The children have worked so hard and the dances they have done are absolutely amazing. Have a look for yourself below.

Y5/6 had a great day yesterday visiting the three 'Giants of the Sperrins', created by artist Thomas Dambo. The giants celebrate the geology, archaeology and heritage of the sperrins and embody past, present and future.
We have been extremely lucky to be chosen for this 5 week project and are looking forward to the next 4 weeks where we will be participating in lessons based around the arts and creating our own book.

Off we went on our Spring walk around the village. We found daffodils, buds on trees, bird nests and baby lambs. After a successful walk we enjoyed a little play in the play park with our friends. A lovely day for sure!
We had lots of fun this week participating in lots of fun maths activities.
We went outside to make mathematical pictures in groups. Check out our pictures. There was a variety of masterpieces created, such as, a symmetrical pig, times tables and shapes. Check out our photos.
We also thought of our favourite numbers and created posters on these where we had to think of different facts and sums associated with our chosen number.
