P1/2 have been busy planting. Mrs Pollock very kindly gave us onions to plant. They really enjoyed digging the soil out and putting it into plant pots.

This was our first time visiting the new outdoor learning area.

P1/2 had lots of fun today making pancakes with Mr Henderson and Anne. Have a look at our photographs to see how they turned out.

We read the story ‘Rabbit’s Pancake Picnic’ talked about how to make pancakes. The also completed a sequence activity recalling the method!

P1/2 has been hit by Christmas! It is great to see so many happy faces and they are so excited! We have even been visited by a naughty elf called Buster! (Even though Mr Henderson doesn’t like elves). Ask your child about Buster everyday to see what he has done.

I hope you like the photos of our lovely class decorating.

All of our Year 1 children received a gift from the Education Authority's Education Library Service and BookTrust NI.

Every child in Year 1 received a Time to Read pack. The pack this year contains the book "We're going to find the Monster" by Malorie Blackman and Dapo Adeola alongside some top tips for reading together, a colouring sheet, spot-the-difference and a QR code to watch the story being read out loud.

Research shows that a child who reads for pleasure will do better at school, even in subjects like maths. Not only that, but if a family read books together, it's a great way to bond, talk about the day, and have a lot of fun!
