All the Year 5’s and 6’s enjoyed EA’s show at the Millennium Forum last Wednesday. What a treat it was getting a double decker bus to take us!
We are so impressed with our Year 6 and Year 7 pupils as they created beautiful bird boxes today with Damien and David from F.R.O.G outdoor educators. Each child will get to take home the bird box that they made and we also have a few to put up around school. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
We all had so much fun playing outside today in the snow!
Today Year 6/7 had their last session with Ciara from the Medics in Primary Schools Programme. Ciara is a medical student at Queen’s University and has been delivering lessons to our P6/7 class once a week for the past few months. Ciara delivered some lessons online and some face to face. The children were taught all about the body including the eyes and the heart. We would like to thank Ciara for planning and carrying out the lessons over the past few months and wish her well in the next part of her studies at university. P6/7 have really enjoyed taking part in these lessons.
Well done to all our swimmers in Years 6 and 7. Everyone has worked so hard over the past 10 weeks. Keep up the hard work and keep swimming. We can’t wait to see your awards in the new year.
All of the year 6’s enjoyed their first session of shared education at Strabane Academy on Monday. The boys and girls all participated in rugby alongside Bready and Cloughcor PS. We can’t wait for our next session.
Y6/7 loved their technology and science lesson! Wigglebots, which could actually draw by themselves ( using a motor), caused great excitement in the classroom.
Year 6/7 had great fun this afternoon making some chocolate treats! We think we may have a few chefs in the future!
Y6/7 enjoyed their visit from the Nerve Centre programmers who helped them program a game. They used Scratch coding.
