What a fantastic effort that was made by our children, staff and parents today for World Book Day. The children were allowed to wear pyjamas or a book character costume and the effort put in was amazing.
Well done to each of you. 😁
Year 6/7 investigated the length of the perimeter of the playgrounds using trundle wheels, measuring tapes and metre sticks. We found the trundle wheels the easiest to use for this task. We found the average length of one circuit of the playgrounds was 128m, which means we’d need to walk (or run) 391 of them to complete a distance of 50km. Will we be able to walk 50km before Easter? Can you work out how many circuits we’d need to do per day to reach our target before Easter?
Our class ‘What’s on Your Plate?’ topic would not have been complete without making some edible reindeer heads. Even more fun was eating them!
What a lovely ending to our school year! Have a look at our photos and videos to see what we got up to on our Colour Run. Each class bubble had a turn to go to the pitch and Ronan got everyone warmed up with some Zumba. Next it was time to get colourful as our lovely white t-shirts got covered in coloured powder. Our time at the pitch was finished off by making a colour cloud. Well done boys and girls on making this such a success and a huge thank you for the amazing amount of money you and your families have raised for our school-you are all superstars!!
Andrew from Bready and District Ulster Scots Development Association came to talk to us about the history of flutes and demonstrate how they are played. From September Andrew may be in our school giving flute lessons to those who wish to avail of free lessons.
Thank you Andrew 😊
