On what felt like the wettest day of the year our Year 6 and Year 7 got their wellies and coats on and walked to Catherine’s Bridge on the outskirts of the village. The men from the Loughs Agency who have been teaching the children through the Salmon Ambassadors programme met Year 6 and Year 7 at the bridge (on the Glenmornan River).
The children had lots of fun taking samples from the water, looking for bugs and learning lots of new things…no one mentioned rain!!!
Thank you to the Loughs Agency for this opportunity and thank you Year 6, Year 7 and staff for braving the weather ☔️
We had a lovely party lunch together today followed by our tea party. Children could decorate their buns/biscuits and dance the afternoon away before home time. Have a lovely long weekend everyone!
Thank you to the ice cream van for calling to school today so that we could all have a coronation cone 🍦
After our ice cream treat we paraded around the hall in our crowns that we made in class this week 👑

This week it was the turn of the Year 6’s and Year 7’s from Mrs Doherty and Mrs Patterson class. We had a great day playing against 4 other schools. Everyone bowled, batted and fielded. Thank you to David from the NWCU for another fantastic day.
We had our first lesson in our outdoor classroom today. We learnt all about the lifecycle of a sunflower and then planted our own. We can’t wait to watch them grow.
