On Friday, the children in Mr Campbell's class were treated to a workshop from the Waterside Theatre Company. We enjoyed talking and listening to a local author called Robert Campbell and a local illustrator called Zoe.
The boys and girls had a great day doing several workshops. Check out the Waterside Theatre in on Instagram, to see the cool activities we took part in. We heard about the travels of captain Timmy and we used our drawing skills to make illustrations for different parts of the book.
Check out the pictures to see how much fun we had!!
This term we have been learning about bridges. We have been looking at several local bridges and how they were constructed. Today it was the children’s turn to design and make their own bridge but there was a twist!! They could only use spaghetti and marshmallows to make their own. Construction started well but some children ran into the problem of materials going missing 🤪 (eaten). Everyone worked well within a group and everyone had a great time doing this activity. Have a look at the finished bridges!! 👍
This week has been Anti-Bullying Week. To celebrate our fantastic school, the children were allowed to wear odd socks to celebrate that everyone is different. Have a look at the pictures below.
As an end of term treat, Mr Campbell had brought in some ingredients in. We followed the instructions we had written last week to make chocolate apples.
They were great fun to make and even more fun to eat. 🎃👻🍎
We had an end of year party with some treats today to celebrate everyone having an amazing year. Well done boys and girls!
All the boys and girls had so much fun today playing bowls and laser tag. The laser tag was a definite favourite! A great day was had by all.
We had a lovely time today at the Tower Museum where we attended workshops all about WW2. The children were taken on a tour through the Museum and then attended an interactive handling workshop. They even got to sound off a WW2 air raid siren. Afterwards some children braved going the whole way up to the top of the Tower! A lovely day was had by all.
